New Delhi: Launching a sharp attack on Aam Aadmi Party and its chief Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi BJP on Thursday released an audio video presentation named “Kejriwal: Kal, Aaj aur Kal” in which it documented 49 issues in which AAP either lied to the people or mislead them.

Speaking to reporters while making the presentation, Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan said that he is talking about 49 issues during the 49 days of Kejriwal’s Government “which includes the lies of Aam Aadmi Party, works to mislead the people of Delhi and acts resulting in the degradation of the Constitution and Constitutional institutions.”

In his presentation, Vardhan alleged that Kejriwal said that no one in his government will take government bungalow or car but as soon as they came to power, Kejriwal himself demanded two government flats while his cabinet colleagues accepted cars.

“He (Kejriwal) spoke of ending VIP culture but they booked an entire metro train to come for the oath taking ceremony. He flew in a chartered plane from Jaipur to Delhi. On the Lokpal issue, they claimed to have taken the view of four experts, however, two of them denied. He said he will not take security but later took it,” he said.

Vardhan also claimed that electricity and water bills have actually increased in the national capital as against AAP’s claim that they decreased it. He even went on to say that Kejriwal was not an Income Tax Commissioner as claimed by him.

The BJP chief also questioned AAP and Kejriwal over their foreign funding and ties with Ford’s Foundation.

Continuing his attack, Vardhan said that the Party which claims to end corruption has given tickets to criminal elements that have swindled away crores of rupees from banks in Moradabad, Mujaffarnagar, and Maharashtra etc.

“Former Delhi Minister Rakhi Birla has sought bribe of Rs 7 lakh from a candidate from her own party for the purpose of campaigning in his favour,” alleged Vardhan.

Chairman of the Election Management & Campaign Committee Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra and former Pradesh President Vijender Gupta were also present at the press conference.
