An East Indian community organization has decided to support AAP after their “rights as aboriginals” were mentioned in the party’s Mumbai manifesto.
They have been demanding that land and property owned by the community way back in the pre-Independence era be restored to them. The Mobai Gaothan Panchayat had been networking with AAP leaders to include their demands in its charter. Now, its leaders have “guaranteed” maximum votes, promising to promote the party through various methods, including online apps.
“After approaching various politicians over the past decade, MGP decided to support AAP upon meeting Mumbai North-West candidate Mayank Gandhi. Fr Michael G from Vasai mentioned their issues to AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal,” said a release.
